Chris Thompson returns for the new season

Today saw the signing of striker Chris Thompson as manager Garry Flitcroft continues to build his squad for the new season.

Formerly Chris was with us on-loan from Barrow, but having extended his loan period once already last season, he was enjoying the time spent here at Genesis so much that he decided to return here permenantly this season.  He said,

"I've always been happy since coming here, and am loving the way the club seems to be going now with the ground and with what Garry and Quiggs are bringing to the team too.  It's going to be a great season, I can't wait to be back"

Congratulations go out to Chris, not only for his return to the side, but on his recent engagement.  Quite apart from planning his nuptuals, he has been busy training throughout the Summer, and is now fitter than ever following the injury-plagued end to his season. No doubt he'll be a force to be reckoned with for our opposition this coming season!
