Genesis Under 14's

A review of how the Under 14's did against AFC Hindley.

Genesis faced top of the league side AFC Hindley in a pulsating game  in the U-14’s Bolton and bury league.
Genesis started the game at a great tempo and gaining the upperhand in the early exchanges. After 25 minutes of excellent football Genesis took the lead from an outstanding 25 yard free kick fro Ashley McGowan, however with 2 minutes of the 1st half remaining Hindley equalized to make it 1 – 1 at half time.
As the 2nd half got under way it was Hindley  who went on the attack with some early pressure only for the Genesis’s back four to remain strong, however on the hour mark the defence was breached and Hindley took the lead.
This did not deter a gutsy Leigh side who fought to the very end  with Burton,Morris & Shepherd playing well, and only a truly outstanding save by the Hindley keeper from a terrific shot from Walmsley gave the visitors full points.
