The awful weather conditions played havoc with the juniors scheduled fixtures this weekend with 5 games called off. Of the 7 games played there were 3 wins, 3 losses and a draw.

The U7s stepped down a section for a friendly against Bromley Cross Bulldogs. This time the difference was in Genesis favour who triumphed to a 7-3 win.

The ever improving U8s played at the Leigh Sports Village and hit the woodwork twice but, still had to settle for a 1-1 draw with visitors Appley Bridge.

Genesis girls made it 3 wins from their opening 5 games with a superb victory over high flyers Aspull Junior Athletic. The girls are coming on leaps and bounds and this is good timing for the start of their away fixture programme. The U10s b had an unlucky week.

In the cup game against Pennington and in the league against Hindley Junior Hornets they improved markedly and produced 2 good performances. A cup exit of 7-1 and a league defeat of 6-2 respectively were a fruitless result of their efforts.

The U10s Sunday team made 7 wins from 7 in their 100% start to the season with a really hard fought 8-1 victory over Ashton Town.
