Ironically under the "normal" rules of this competition when the home team's venue is postponed twice on the trot the game is then normally switched to the away teams ground !

I can only recall the infamous Northwich Conference Cup game a few years ago that was postponed seven times where there'd be a precedent, and that one didn't get switched?
And if the game is switched to next Monday, what happens to the Ashton League Cup game?

County Cups (despite their low profile actually within the clubs themselves) usually have to take precedence (have I spelt that right ?)............... I remember Tim Lees at Atherton LR telling me when he produced the programme for the Burscough game played at the third time of asking at Victoria Park, Burscough. Not uncommon in this competition Matt honestly, its happened several times in the past few years although apart from Bacup v Lancaster City I can't tell you offhand which team's have been involved but in every case I think it as involved teams from the NWCFL.
I am fairly certain it IS an actual rule of the competition, which I think (?) applies in NWCFL Lge. Cup competitions also.......... edited by petergarrity on 18/11/2008 edited by petergarrity on 18/11/2008

Rescheduled (again) for next Monday at Alder House; if it falls foul of the weather (again) then it'll be Wednesday 26th.
Ashton to be rearranged though as their midweek night is a Monday, I fancy that one for 1st December?

If that ends up being the case then instead of cakes, Sam can bring advent calenders to this one!

I appreciate that Colls are having problems with their pitch but there comes a point when fixture congestion BEFORE Christmas (and potentially the worse of the winter weather) is simply unacceptable. With this in mind there must be a "three strikes (or postponements) and out" rule.

Whilst appreciating and sympathising with all your recent problems, can I point out that you were offered the chance of bringing forward a fixture this past weekend but declined because of your cup game tonight (albeit the original one against Ashton) So instead of reducing your backlog, both yourselves and Kendal were left fixtureless on Saturday. A waste of a blank weekend.

Dear all - the story so far re the re-arranged Colls fixture tonight is that the pitch looks, at this present time, wet. But there are 50 bags of sand going on it this afternoon ahead of the pitch inspection later this afternoon (time still to be confirmed). We have Club representation heading over as we speak to check on the "sanding" and will also be there for the inspection once we know when it's happening - we will update you all via the website as soon as we know the position.

Hi Leyther T - as per the story on the front page of the site, because the weather today (Thursday) was anticipated as being too cold, the game will not be played this week. We are trying to secure a day for next week and will update the site once we have this confirmed. Cheers
