Here are the projected finishing positions for the top half of the table, based on matches played up to and including match number 10.
1. Ilkeston Town 103 2. Guiseley 102 3. Hednesford T 84 4. Ashton Utd 79 5. Kendal Town 79 6. Boston Utd 73 7. LEIGH GENESIS 67 8. Bradford P.A. 65 9. Marine 63 10.Nantwich Town 63 11.Eastwood Town 61
Makes encouraging reading I think. Will update again in a few games times to see how Genesis have progressed.

Top six finish (I think) needed for play-offs......I actually think Genesis will be better and more consistant in the run in from Xmas onwards .....

I hope im right in saying that i cant see Ilkes, Hendesford and Ashton keeping up the pace. Kendal are in with a good shout for playoffs. I agree that we should start picking up in the run up to xmas, but i also think teams like Boston, Eastwood and Bradford will do the same. top six would be a good result looking at the quality in the league this year.

Yeah it's six and I think we should be okay for keeping that place or above We should settle in properly like you say after Christmas I think that's when things start to heat up and hopefully we can become a little more consistant edited by Samantha on 26/09/2008 edited by Samantha on 26/09/2008

Sorry my mistake...........top 5 needed....with of course Champions going up automatic. Then its 2nd play 5th, 3rd play 5th......with the team who finishes highest in league getting home advantage in all the play off matches.

PROJECTED LEAGUE FINISH POSITIONS (updated)
1 . Guiseley.......... 98 2 . Ilkeston........... 95 3 . Kendal ............ 84 4 . Hednesford ..... 81 5 . Marine ............ 75 6 . Ashton ............ 74 7 . Bradford ......... 74 8 . Eastwood ........ 70 9 . LEIGH GEN...... 60 10. Nantwich ....... 57 11. N. Ferriby ...... 55
Please note the 10 point gap between Leigh and Eastwood. We now require 6 consecutive wins to pose any threat of a play off place. October should really have been the month when Leigh mounted a major push for promotion.

leigh will finish with about 76 points , looking at the results over the last couple of weeks every team is capable of winning anywhere , theres going to be alot of points dropped by all the teams

76 points ? I hope that we get more than that but fail to see how we will get anywhere near that total based on the season so far !
